“Gleaning” means gathering crops from farmers’ fields that would otherwise not go to market and rot in the field. Crops like tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and squash are gleaned once a week during the growing season from Pariah Dog farm in Teaticket and then donated directly to the Falmouth Service Center through our Share Your Bounty program. In 2024 we donated 3,310 lbs of gleaned fresh produce.

Please get in touch with us if you would like to volunteer as a Gleaner during this year. All gleaners go home with a personal share of the harvest as a thank-you for volunteering their time and energy!
