Compost Day at the Orchard

Compost Day at the community orchard was a lot of fun and SO PRODUCTIVE!

We pulled back mulch and added 3 inches of nutritious Black Earth Compost to the orchard beds. Then we planted four new perennial pollinator guilds to attract the bees and beneficial bugs the trees will need next spring.

Special thanks to all our Volunteers, JSK Tree Care, Kathy Tunsley for her perennial guild design, Mahoney's for plant donations, and Black Earth Compost.
