Falmouth Food Assessment 2022 -Take the Survey Online

Farming Falmouth is taking a look at the way our town fits into the food system- the sum of all the people, resources and activities involved in bringing food from farms and fisheries to your dinner plate.  This supply chain can be long and many-faceted, from distant parts of the world, or it can be short and direct, just a matter of miles when you buy food that comes from a local farmer, or fisherman. It’s even shorter if you are growing your own food, or have a shellfish license.

Completing the survey will make you eligible to win up to $150 towards food purchases. The online public survey is your chance to be heard as an individual, we hope people all over town will add their voice to the conversation.

In addition to this survey for the public, the Food System Assessment will also gather information from the supply side--local food producers, farmers, grocery stores and restaurants -- as well as other organizations involved with food, such as schools and service providers. This information will help to provide a picture of the challenges and opportunities experienced by different sectors of the food system in Falmouth.

Tyler Barron leads an input session with local food producers in April 2022.

The Food System Assessment is funded by a grant from The Woods Hole Foundation
